Chief Chitimbwa of the Lungu speaking people of Mpulungu district, Northern province, has endorsed the candidature of President Edgar Lungu in the August 12 general elections.
The traditional leader says there is no reason to change government when the Patriotic Front administration is delivering on the campaign promises.
Chief Chitimbwa said this yesterday when Minister of Water Development Sanitation and Environmental Protection Raphael Nakacinda paid a courtesy call on him.
Mr. Nakacinda is in the province to inspect water infrastructure projects as part of his familiarization program.
Chief Chitimbwa, who cited the improvement of water system, construction of a secondary school and health facilities, says the PF administration deserves another mandate.
“The PF and its leaders deserve another mandate because they are fulfilling the many aspirations of the people from national to district level,” Chief Chitimbwa said
Chief Chitimbwa urged his subjects and other well meaning citizens to vote for President Lungu for continuity.
And Mr. Nakacinda has wondered why people would choose to politicise developmental projects that are done for the benefit of all.
He says there is no need to politicise everything when development is being delivered and visible for all to see.
The Minister further affirms that Government will ensure that all campaign promises are fulfilled.
