Please compose good soccer songs

Editor,

Watching our Chipolopolo play Sudan in Morocco recently was good especially with those few Zambian soccer fans who were there to give support to our boys. But what made the situation sad was the songs they sung. They were close to those we hear at funeral gatherings. Soccer bodies should compose nice songs than just beating drums which sound like pure noise.

Kambwili is a shallow  thinker

Editor,

Is it not interesting to read about Kambwili’s legal battles with Mr. Amos Chanda? So in Kambwili’s malicious and shallow thinking the man expects people he is insulting day and night to keep quiet? What kind of thinking is this?  Mr. Kambwili, no one has a right to scandalize people and expect them to keep quiet. To Mr. Chanda you have done the right thing to respond to this man in the manner you have done because a lot will be exposed soon. Leadership is all about discipline but unfortunately this is lacking in this man.

Keep street vendors out

Editor,

If street vendors have threatened not to vote for Edgar Lungu for removing from the streets in the wake of killer cholera, let them go ahead with their threat. It is their democratic right. Others will vote for ECL. For all we know very few of them are in fact registered voters. In any case the majority of voters are safely tucked in rural areas of Zambia. They should not hold anyone to ransom. What an empty threat!

Corrupt police traffic officers

Editor,

Why this delay in scrapping off the corrupt police traffic section? There is RTSA which in my view can do a better job than these thieves who rob motorists in broad day light without any shame. Enough is enough.

Shut up, HH told

Editor,

If you have nothing to say HH, please shut up. Do not sour people’s working relationship with the President through your offhand talk. Zambia is a sovereign nation just like Zimbabwe and don’t always be a prophet of doom.

Corruption at LASF

Editor,

May government look into the suffering of the retirees in Zambia? It is hard to get our own money because of corruption at LASF. I wish to appeal to the current government to intervene and change the conditions of paying out retirees at LASF.  Concerned retiree

Pilato respect others

Editor,

Free expression is good however responsibility is expected from everyone, we don’t have to encroach on other people’s lives. Treat other people with respect even if you may not agree with them. Give them space just as you want yours Pilato. Citizen
