WHY is it that law breakers always blame the justice system and the police when they are caught and are sent to prison? This is the case with the opposition leader Hakainde Hichilema.
His interview with the BBC as well as his statement to his supporters reveals one important aspect of his lack of leadership, like most opposition leaders especially those that are fighting to push for the imperialist’s agenda such as Raila Odinga of Kenya, Mmusi Maimane of South Africa and Tsangarai of Zimbabwe all do not respect the law of the land.
When the authority pounce on them, they cry like babies, calling the Justice system all sort of names forgetting that he himself HH has benefited from the Justice system which is working well.
For those that are brainwashed because of various reasons, ranging from tribe to jealous of those in Government, HH at least showed us how he would treat Zambians, he condemned the Justice system and vowed that he was ready to go back to jail as long as his cadres are still in jail.
Really, how could a leader who has condemned the Justice system only fight for his cadres forgetting the other people that he shared the more than 100 days with in jail and some Zambians still think he has leadership qualities, God forbid! Look at the pride! The answer is in this scripture; 2 Timothy 3: 1-5 it reads and I quote, “But know that in the last days, critical hard times to deal with will be here.
For men will be lovers of money, boastful, haughty, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, disloyal … having no natural affection, not open to any agreement, slanderers, without love of goodness …. betrayers, headstrong, puffed up with pride, lovers of pleasures rather than lovers of God … having an appearance of godliness but proving false to its power, and from these turn away”.
It is not the Justice system that has collapsed but anarchy that is at play especially in UPND. What is worrying is that most media houses in Zambia have put commercial interest first and subordinated national building.
If we had a professional media, what BBC reports about Zambia would meet well researched and factual response from local journalists, unfortunately even if they know that what the BBC is reporting are lies, the local media goes on to transmit it without giving a correct version.
Actually, the incarceration of HH has brought to light many things, those that care to follow events will agree that one radio station in Zambia is sowing seeds of division by propagating hurt speech through phone in programmes in support of the UPND.
To increase their audience base, they introduced a lot of giveaway but when their major funder was in jail, they ran dry completely and were almost nonexistent. Why are we so desperate for money at the expense of many Zambians? Let us begin to build a strong Zambia for all.
