THE Patriotic Front (PF) has come out stronger and united following the successful hosting of the general conference, Vice-President Inonge Wina has said.
Ms Wina said the ruling party has produced a centralcCommittee representing all Zambians from the 10 regions.
She was speaking when she arrived at the Harry Mwaanga Nkumbula International Airport in Livingstone yesterday.
Ms Wina said that the hosting of the general conference has made the ruling party stronger and “we are going into elections as all of you are aware and all political parties are busy holding their intra-party elections.
“I can report to you that the just-ended national council was a great success in that, it produced a central committee composed of all Zambians from all the 10 provinces of this country.
“That is quite an achievement and the President ensured that female representation is all visible and youth representation was also into consideration,” she said.
Ms Wina told the scores of PF members who recived her that at the airport that it was President Lungu’s desire to see Zambians move as one in the development of the nation.
“We are one Zambia, One Nation and this has to be upheld in whatever we do and President Edgar Lungu is committed to ensuring that the people of Zambia move as one in the development of the country,” she said.
Ms Wina was accompanied by Housing and Infrastructure Development Minister Vincent Mwale and DMMU national coordinator Chanda Kabwe was received by Southern Province Minister Edify Hamukale, Southern Province Permanent Secretary Joyce Bwacha, senior government leaders and party leadership.
She is in Livingstone to officiate at the Engineering Institution of Zambia Symposium and annual general conference at Avani Victoria Falls Resort.
