MANSA YOUTHS BOOSTED WITH A PAVING MACHINE WORTH $35,000

….as Luapula Province PS Engineer Charles Mushota says the empowerment of young people is key to National development

A youth Cooperative in Mansa district has benefited a $35,000 dollars worth Paving Machine from Government’s Multi-Sectoral Youth Empowerment Programme.

The equipment which also specializes in making a variety of building blocks was handed over to Pevco Youth Enterprise by Ministry of Youth and Sports Permanent Secretaty Dr John Phiri.

And Speaking when he received the Machine on behalf of the Cooperative, Luapula Province PS Engineer Charles Mushota said the empowerment of young people is key to National development.

He has since thanked Government for the gesture.

“President Lungu should be commended for launching the Multi Sectoral Youth Empowerment Programme. It is benefiting a lot of Young people,” he said.

Meanwhile, Dr Phiri said President lungu’s desire is to improve the economic livelihood of young people in the country.

He said such are initiatives which would help young people contribute positively to the economic growth.

Dr. Phiri in the company of Director Youth Cade Chikobo and other officials also took time to monitor projects the Youth in Luapula Province have embarked on from the loans they have gotten under the Multi Sectoral Youth Empowerment Programme.

He has expressed happiness that the Youth are making good use of the empowerment funds.
