PF youths have pledged to support the candidature of Chishimba Kambwili as party president because he is the only person who can revive the party and lead it to victory in 2026, Grassroots Media Director, Joseph Chishimba, has charged.
PF member Joseph Chishimba who is Grassroots Media Director said as PF youths they had agreed to rally behind Mr Kambwili because he was the only with the leadership qualities that could peddle the party forward.
Mr Chishimba said they have been on the ground in all of the structures and all the members were calling for the candidature of Mr. Kambwili as PF president.
He said that everyone who had interacted with Mr Kambwili could attest to the fact that the man had a heart for the people and that was what the Zambian people were looking for.
Mr Chishimba said as PF youths were ready to go to any lengths to make sure that the people’s choice emerged as party president.
He said if only the top leadership could listen to the people on the ground regarding who they want as a leader the party would not have been going through any leadership wrangles.
Mr Chishimba said PF should learn from what happened in the last election where all the parliamentary candidates that were rejected by people on the ground but the party opted to impose them on the people lost the elections.
“It is very important to listen to the people‘s cries first before making decisions,” he said.
He said there would be no point in blocking the person people had chosen because of the personal differences some people have with him at the expense of the party.
Mr Chishimba said the people on the ground were the backbone of the party and if their choices were overlooked they would revolt and that could kill the party completely.
“Chishimba Kambwili is topping the list of preferred candidates by local and even members who are in the diaspora,” he said.
