‘I’M NOT MOVING’ – TRIPLE-C SAYS HE’S NOT QUITTING RS BERKANE

By SPORTS REPORTER

CHIPOLOPOLO midfielder Cletus Chota Chama has described as false reports alleging that he wants to leave Moroccan giants RS Berkane three months after joining the club from Tanzanian side Simba SC.

In an interview with ZambianSoccerNet, Chama denied the reports which indicated that he was in Ndola because of being frustrated by the Moroccan giants who have issues paying him his dues.

Chama who lost his wife in May this year said he got permission from his coach to stay a bit longer in Zambia after the international break because he was injured and had to spend some time with his children.

“I’m in Morocco by the way. I was injured and even before the international break I talked to the coach (Florent Ibenge) to allow me to spend some time with my kids,”

“As of the money, take it easy. I wish you would have access to my bank account,” Chama said.

Chama, who signed a three-year deal with the CAF Confederations Cup champions was invited for the last round of the 2022 Qatar World Cup qualifiers but couldn’t contribute to the Chipolopolo side that beat Mauritania before losing to Tunisia in the last game because of an injury.

But according to social media reports, the 30-year-old Zambian international has been left frustrated at Berkane’s payment patterns that has been out of the agreed contract terms and has made up his mind on leaving the club.

It is also alleged that Simba’s rivals Yanga SC have approached Berkane to inquire about the availability of the former Zesco United and Lusaka Dynamos star for a transfer to the club.

According to reports, Yanga SC are willing to pay Chama and his agent close to Tsh.1 billion to choose them over Simba SC.
