OUT-GOING PS CALLS FOR HARD WORK

By SANFROSSA MANYINDA

CIVIL servants should not waste time on social media but work hard to rebuild the economy in line with the new administration’s policies, outgoing Copperbelt Permanent Secretary Bright Nundwe has said.

He advised government workers read the UPND manifesto and the Presidential speech which was recently delivered to the National Assembly speech where policy directions were outlined.

Mr Nundwe said hard work and accountability in the handling of resources meant for the implementation of the UPND agenda was vital at this point.

He added that the government needed help from the civil servants as it begun creating a united, prosperous and equitable Zambia. Mr Nundwe said this in his farewell message in Ndola when new Copperbelt Minister Elisha Matambo met with Government heads of department on the Copperbelt.

“Provincial Minister, you are assured of government workers’ support because the province has well educated and competent staff to implement the policies of the UPND,” he said.

Meanwhile, Mr Matambo urged government workers to operate as a team in implementing policies based on the four thematic areas, namely, economic rebuilding and transformation, human and Social development, Environmental protection and sustainability.
