PRESIDENT HICHILEMA DATES LUAPULA PROVINCE.
PRESIDENT HAKAINDE HICHILEMA is in Luapuala for a working visit.
Speaking this morning on arrival at Mansa Airport, before proceeding to Mwansabombwe, President Hichilema said he and his government were determined to improve the welfare of all Zambians.
President Hichilema said the UPND’s zeal will be reflected in the 2022 budget cycle which will clearly navigate the economic route that the UPND will take going forward away from the PF’s way of running the economy.
He said Luapula had a alot potential for serious economic growth because of it’s manganese mineral resource and other raw materials, which his government wants to exploit for the betterment of the residents of the province.
The head of state said Zambians will see alot of aspects of decentralisation of resources in a budget away from Lusaka , a measure that will be undertaken to curb thefts of public resources.
The President is currently being expected in Mwansabombwe town.
And President Hichilema thanked the people of Luapula for overwhelmingly voting for him.
He said he was grateful and looked forward to the province giving him more members of Parliament which he could appoint as ministers.
