2022 BUDGET HAS SILENCED CRITICS, SAYS SOUTH UPND

By ANDREW MUKOMA

THE UPND in Southern Province says that  the 2022 national budget has silenced false prophets who have been criticising the party since it was voted into power.

Provincial spokesperson Neto Halwabala has charged that the new administration’s budget seeks to restore the country’s economy to stability.

Mr Halwabala said that it has been a long held desire of the New Dawn Administration to implement the decentralisation policy which has yielded no positive result with successive governments.

“We are elated with the proposed 2022 national budget encompassing all Zambians for a better and decent life,” he said

“It has silenced those who are false prophets on the new administration under the  leadership of President Hakainde Hichilema,” he said.

He said that this is the first time in the history of Zambia that over K 25,000,000 had been allocated to the constituency per year.

“Agriculture sector has been fixed, just like Education sector where PTA, tuition fees and examination fees are  abolished,” Mr Halwabala added

“It is a  break through budget which is going to transform our economy. We would like to appeal to our civil servants as chief controllers of these funds not to take advantage by abusing them like what used to happen in the Patriotic Front regime,” he noted.

“President Hichilema and his team are in a hurry to rehabilitate the country economically and those civil servants with appetite for stealing public resources should resign on moral grounds or repent.

Corruption crusade is still on, recovery of public assets and stolen money a must!

And we advise all Zambians to take keen interest to study the 2022 national budget before it is effective in January,” he warned.
