The sales director said the move was in line with Government’s plan to ensure digital TV coverage to all parts of Zambia.

He said in Lusaka yesterday, at a press briefing that television was a powerful medium of information, education and entertainment in the homes of citizens and that with the launch of the TopStar bouquets such as the NOVA at K 30 or the premium Classic at K 89 which offered more than 50 channels.

Mr Sichone said TopStar was the leader in digital migration and offered a variety of news, entertainment, religious, children, music, Nollywood, Bollywood and TV series among others.

‘‘As the public signal distributor, TopStar continues to partner with Zambian owned TV stations in broadcasting home-grown content and promoting our own TV and film industry,’’ he said.

He said owners of the TopStar decoder would enjoy free viewing until October1, 2017 when the subscription service would commence.
