NAPSA TREAT: Napsa Stars offer fans free entry as they host Forest Rangers in final home game

By MICHAEL MIYOBA

AFTER last weekend’s painful 1-0 defeat to Nkana in Kitwe, Napsa Stars coach Perry Mutapa says the Pensioners are determined to redeem themselves by beating Forest Rangers in today’s Week-33 fixture at Heroes Stadium.

Mutapa confirmed that the final home fixture of the season is free for all their fans who deserve to be given a win.

He said today’s game is crucial for both teams as Forest Rangers are seeking redemption from the 2-0 trouncing suffered at the hands of the champions-elect Power Dynamos last weekend.

“Forest are preparing for the (ABSA Cup) final here at Heroes. They are fighting for something, we are also fighting for something so it is going to be a tight match,” Mutapa said.

He said after winning promotion from the National Division One League, Napsa Stars has done very well in the Super League and were determined to conclude the league on a good note.

“We are a team coming from the national division and where we are, we have done very well and we are looking forward to make sure that we do our best in against Forest and we are playing at home so we are going to give it our best,” he said.

“Forest Rangers, yes they lost and they are coming at Heroes Stadium, here we have played the best football and I hope being the last game the guys are going to give the fans what they deserve for supporting us,” Mutapa said.

Napsa Stars are fourth on the Super League table with 49 points and a win over Forest Rangers will propel them to second on the log.

Forest have struggled with only one win in the last nine games where they have collected five defeats and three draws and today’s game against the Pensioners presents a turning point for the Ndola outfit still missing the services of head coach Ian Bakala who is training for a CAF A licence in Morocco.

All hope is however not lost for the Ndola side which seats on seventh position with 37 points and needs to win the remaining two league fixture to have a chance of finishing second and qualifying for the CAF Confederations Cup.

As they seek to complete a double over the Pensioners who they stunned 1-0 in Ndola, Forest will look to their top striker in Moyela Libanda to deliver the goals for the needed victory in Lusaka.
