KAMWALA Ward Councillor Mainda Simataa has given Lusaka City Council Engineering department 72 hours to fix the dangerously deepening potholes that have rendered the Kamwala prison to Kafue trade and bus route almost impassable.
The civic leader was conducting a spot-check inspection of the road following numerous complaints by the Kamwala business community and other public and private road users.
Mr Simaata says the needs an overhaul as it is the only possible lasting solution.
Councillor Simataa has assured concerned stakeholders that material orders for the first priority job for 2024 have been placed, and urges motorists to exercise maximum caution on the prison road.
