Govt to enhance Black Mountain security

WE are going to enhance security at the black mountain so that we avoid the loss of lives as we have seen in the recent past, Mines Minister, Paul Kabuswe, has said.

Mr Kabuswe sais in an interview   that he would not sit and watch people engage in lawlessness which resulted in the death of a young man.

He however emphasized that the security at the mountain was okay and that the problem was that people were pilfering from tipper trucks that were laden with concentrate.

“The problem is not that we do not have proper security at the black mountain but that some youths in the township have a tendency of stealing the concentrate,” he said.

Mr Kabuswe said that he would not take anything to chance and that he would ensure that no similar incident happens again.

He however said that he would be disbursing funds to the cooperatives at the mountain that had supplied to various buyers.

“Right now I’m at the black mountain to disburse funds to various cooperatives and what I can tell you is that so far the process is a success,” Mr Kabuswe said.
