K700, 000 TO COMPLETE CLASSROOM BLOCK CONSTRUCTION

MORE than K700, 000 is needed to complete a 1x 4 classroom block at Wesley Nyirenda Combined School in Ndeke Village of Kamfinsa constituency in Kitwe.

School Head teacher John Ngandwe said once the classroom block was completed, it will be able to effectively cater for the increasing demands of school places following the growing population in the communities.

Mr Ngandwe was speaking yesterday when Kamfinsa Member of Parliament Christopher Kang’ombe toured the school to understand and apppreciate the challenges facing the challenges schools in the constituency.

 Mr Ngandwe said the work  had stalled due to lack funds and was hopeful that the area MP would help to lobby and mobilise funds to complete the classroom block .

“One of the challenges we are facing is lack of adequate classrooms. I mean school places for the growing population in the area. I can say that we have a 1 x 4 classroom block which has stalled . If this classroom block is completed , it will help us to meet the growing demands of school places in the area” Mr Ngandwe said. And in response, Mr Kang’ombe said he decided to tour some schools in the area to understand the challenges they were facing so that they could work together to address them .

Mr Kang’ombe said it was his desire to see that schools in the constituency continue to improve their service delivery and meet the desired standards.
