THE MMD has dared the Nevers Mumba led group to go to the party secretariat if they have enough muscle and warned the clique to stop defaming and bringing the genuine Felix Mutati led leadership into disrepute.

MMD Diehard youth national coordinator Gerald Chiluba said the former ruling party was law abiding and consistently adhered to the provisions of its party constitution.

Mr Chiluba told the Daily Nation yesterday, that party youths would not condone the continued attacks of their leadership and warned that anyone who would attempt to attack the party secretariat would be dealt with.

He said Dr Mumba disputed the convention which was held from May 20 to 22 2016 with a weak argument that his tenure of office would end in 2017 but wondered why there was no convention in their group.

Mr Chiluba dared purported national secretary Elizabeth Chitika to go to the secretariat as they would be met with the full force from the youths.

“We want to take this opportunity to dare the Nevers Mumba group to come to the secretariat as insinuated by Elizabeth Chitika the self-anointed national secretary, they shall find us and we shall mercilessly deal with them for offending the dignity and honour of our party leadership because they have now crossed the red line,” he said.

He said Dr Mumba and a handful of his confidants had continued to cling on to the faint hope that the former ruling party would be handed back to him despite the Registrar of Societies having changed names of office bearers for the party.

Mr Chiluba said his party’s intra party democracy would not be derailed by selfish individuals who want to use it for personal gains.

He said the party would continue to reorganise and ensure that it adds value to the governance of the country.
