MORE than 2.1 million sim cards have been deactivated by the Zambia Information and Communication Technology Authority (ZICTA) out of the 4.2 million numbers that had been examined.
ZICTA says it has recorded a significant reduction in the numbers of mobile scammers due to security measures been put in place which resulted in deactivation of 5, 400 sim-cards in January.
