And some cannot even afford a mask. This donation is therefore a welcome relief and we are looking forward to more collaboration,” Pastor Daka said. He expressed worry that many people don’t take the disease very seriously despite other losing their beloved ones and called for the change in attitude. He said it is imperative that there is more sensitisation so that local people can take this seriously. He appealed to churches to preach about the Covid-19 preventive measures to stop the spread of the vice in the communities.

The pastor also said Kanyama constituency has many challenges which should be looked in by social partners such as communities markets, police posts and recreations centres for children to converge in the communities instead of engaging in crime. He appealed to the Chinese to continue with the spirit of helping local communities. And Chinese Association in Zambia Executive Vice President Dr Luan Chunmin, said the association was established to find a way of helping local people in the areas where they operate. Happy to have been contacted to provide the equipment in church to help the people. Kanyama is one of the biggest constituencies and the Chinese were happy to respond to the call for held. He said the association was happy to provide masks, had washing soap and hand sanitisers to help the churches congregate freely in this covid period.

It is for this reasons that the association has decided to put up teso8rced to provide sanitised masks “The donation is just one of many donation which the association has made to the people of Zambia,” he said. And in a vote of thanks, PF Kanyama constituency candidate Chris Changwareza observed that the fight against Covid-19 is the responsibility of everyone and not government alone.
