Lusaka casanova divorced

A 27-YEAR-OLD woman has sued her husband in court in Lusaka for divorce alleging that he was bringing women in their home.

This is in a case in which Esnart Mwamba of Kanyama compound sued her husband, Ronald Chapa, 37, for divorce.

However, Chapa said that he still love his wife.  The two got married in 2004 and they have three children. Dowry was paid.

Mwamba told Senior Court Magistrate Abbyshine Michelo sitting with Magistrate Mubukwanu Matakala at Kanyama Local Court that she has suffered because Chapa brings women in their home.

She explained that last week when she went to Ndola and came back at night she found that Chapa had brought a woman and couldn’t open the door adding that she had to force the door open and Chapa told her that she came to disturb him.

Mwamba added that she slept in the sitting room and that the woman also was at the sitting room but at 04:00 hours he threw her belongings outside.

“I left our home and we have been on separation for a week. It is not the first time, even in July 2017 we were in court for reconciliation. I decided to divorce Chapa so that he marries the woman he wants,’’ said Mwamba.

In defence, Chapa said that on July 2, 2017 Mwamba sued him for reconciliation and that after the court reconciled them she shouted at him outside the court and said he was a casanova.

He explained that he admitted in court having a girlfriend who was pregnant and wanted polygamous marriage but Mwamba refused.

Chapa added that Mwamba came from Ndola unexpectedly and that she did not find a woman whom she claimed she was tipped

Magistrate Michelo said that it is not the first time to be in court and that the complaint is of Chapa bringing women and that Mwamba want divorce which the court cannot force her.

He granted the couple divorce without compensation but Chapa is ordered to be paying children maintenance fee of K600 per month. Household goods acquired together to be shared equally.
