Visiting Zimbabwean born dance hall musician now based in South Africa, Buffalo Souljah says corporate institutions must intensify their support for music in order for the industry to grow and compete favorably.

Speaking in Lusaka at Best Western Plus Hotel during a press briefing ahead of the ‘Kamoflage Party’ that was held at The Web Pub in Lusaka last Friday, the singer said it was disrespectful to note that some corporate organisations were offering raw deals in terms of contracts and sponsorship to artistes.

He said for African music to reach higher levels, there was need for corporate organisations to support the artistes fully.

The musician who was in the country at the invitation of DJ Cosmo for the Kamoflage Party which was also held in Kitwe at  #Tag on Saturday said he was pleased to see some corporate sponsorship for their event and encouraged such institutions to continue.

He specifically paid tribute to Ambassador Wines, Golden Key Investments and Club Amnesia for supporting the ‘Kamoflage Party’ which will now be an annual event.
